This presentation would ask and begin to answer questions such as: What are the qualities of "ethnographic videoconferencing" (as practiced at the end of a fieldwork period), and how does this method of ethnographic research and documentation compare and contrast with ethnographic photography, film, and video? What are some attitudes that folklore scholars' have expressed towards videoconferencing? Can ethnographic fieldwork be conducted via videoconference? What are some ways the folk are practicing folk communication and folk arts via videoconferencing? What is some folklore (generated by the general public) about videoconferencing?
