Since the 1840s, members and leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have acknowledged the role of a Heavenly Mother, a companion to God, or Heavenly Father. Her roles have been described as Heavenly Wife, Parent, co-creator with the Father and co-framer of life and its divine plan for humanity. Yet, little is known about her role and personality until recently. With recent scholarship and creative works increasing about her, the reverence and care towards her have also been captured online where lay members have talked about their personal worship and spiritual devotion opening up questions about practice and belief in a Heavenly Mother.
