The Yilancik Ocagi (the healer of erysipelas) in Karaman continues to exist as a popular traditional folk medicine center. There are various socio-cultural and socio-economic reasons for this popularity of folk medicine. It is interesting that folk medicine centers are still in demand by people, despite the fact that the possibilities of modern medicine are at an advanced level today. In this study, the Yilancik Ocagi in Anatolia and the folklore around it will be analyzed. After defining the concepts of Ocak (healer), diagnosis and treatment methods of the disease will be evaluated in the light of the compilations we have conducted in the field, in Karaman.
