The goal of the Wisconsin Humanities Community Powered project is to activate the power and creativity of individuals and communities in order to execute change. This paper critically looks back at the work done over the 2022-23 pilot year to evaluate successes and failures. What were the major lessons learnt and how did project participants modify and adapt traditional humanities and folklore methods in order to address locally-specific challenges? The paper also discusses strategies developed to evaluate this open-ended and place-based process.
