This forum problematizes the complex implication migration and mobility have for the understanding of heritage making in museums today and in the future. Presenters at the forum shall address issues dealing with three themes: 1) heritage and heritage making in the 21st century, 2) migration/mobility (in relation to heritage) and 3) collaboration/engagement with actors beyond the academy. A central question which this workshop focuses upon concerns the issue of how we can more consistently think of heritage in terms of mobility: of pulling artifacts together, setting stories in motion, and appreciating that people are often on the move.
